My esteemed and entrenched Congressman is being primaried. Now in his 26th year, Representative Larson appears to not be Marxist enough for the very blue district 1. Insert state representative Jillian Gilchrist of West Hartford. John has been ratcheting up his volume and rhetoric to try and come off as a legitimate resistance “fighter” but apparently, Jillian feels it’s not enough. So in order to ascertain her bonafides as a true TDS stalwart, I propose we query her (and anyone else running for national office.) Here are my top 10 questions.
- Should people who are in our country illegally be deported?
- Is someone born with XY chromosomes a male?
- Is someone born with XX chromosomes a female?
- The top 1% of income earners pay over 40% of all income taxes. Is that fair? (Top 5% over 60%. Top 50% pay 97%. You pick which one to ask.)
- Connecticut saw 40% of its voters go for Trump yet we have no Republican Representatives or Senators. Should we look at how our congressional districts are drawn?
- When does life begin? Should all life be protected?
- Do we have a revenue or a spending problem with regard to our national debt?
- Should ineligible people be allowed to maintain their coverage in Medicaid?
- What would you do to preserve SS and Medicare for future generations?
- Should citizenship be required to vote in all elections?
What are the chances I would get straight answers?
