Lots of phony numbers are being thrown around on the amount of taxes owed and those collected. Apparently, we’ve been leaking trillions over the years and as a direct result of a scaled back IRS. The same IRS that illegally kept conservative non-profits from realizing legal benefits. Now we see the Marxists looking to expand the IRS by adding 80,000 new employees, all unionized of course, and opening our bank accounts for government view.

Part of my career was as an “auditor”. Each budget year, I had to fight for more staff and the way I did that was to show how much money I was saving the company through my “audits”. When my staff showed up at a Manager’s desk, it was not a warm reception. They knew we had to justify our existence on the backs of their department. We focused on process and ultimately, both the Manager and the Company benefitted from our work but who benefits when and IRS auditor pulls a rabbit regulation out the hat and hits you with more taxes owed AND a penalty; the State.  Adding 80,000 more auditors to the IRS and providing them with a microscope into our finances is a recipe for more skullduggery of the kind in the 2016 election.

We are humans and it is our nature to preserve and improve our lot in life. Do you think for one minute that an IRS auditor who is compensated by finding more tax dollars will see it in their heart to understand the complexity of the tax code and how we peons are supposed to bow to it? The tax code is a behemoth and resides in several places. First are the actual laws, then the IRS regulations and finally, case law. If you think that you will get a fair hearing when the rules are written by the very people adjudicating the case, I have some dogecoins in my pocket I’ll sell you. Making the IRS bigger and tasking them with finding even a portion of the supposed tax leakage is akin to giving a gun to a criminal and standing in front of them waving cash. Opening our private banking accounts to the state, is something China does, not a free society. Add to this some interest in a digital dollar that will enable the state to track every transaction your make and you can see how far afield of our free society we have come.

Of course, we want everyone to pay their full share of taxes owed but to suggest that trillions are being left on the table is a farce. If it’s even a fraction of that, its’ because of the poor construct of our tax system with carve outs for those who have an in, and a lack of transparency for us little people on how it all works. The big government pattern continues. Make things so complicated you can’t possibly stay on top of it. Have the state use that complexity to ruin you if they so choose, and blame you for your own demise. The sheep being led to slaughter have a better chance.

The state continues to invade our everyday life with a new round of “let me do that for you” entitlements. Having done such a good job with the FDR/LBJ entitlements of Social Security and Medicare, they’re quadrupling down with expanded paid family leave and child care, “free” pre-school and “free” college. (Tuition free community college and of course, waiver of federal loan repayment for college.) These proposals expand on the myriad of current federal programs and policies that have served to separate parents from raising their children. Worse, its put’s our children’s upbringing in the hands of the state and squarely into the indoctrination machine called public education.

I get that some women want to realize their full potential using their education. That used to be motherhood but now that is so old school. Rather, feminism made being a stay-at-home Mom an afront to womanhood. So, girls got education that was not to be “wasted” maintaining a household and raising children. They joined the ranks of corporations and went for the brass ring just like the boys. Some found the chase to be lacking and added motherhood to their quest. This begat the harried mother/worker who is “forced” to juggle motherhood and working, as if it wasn’t a choice.

Now we see women having babies with no male involved in the raising of the child. This void has yet to reveal its true unsavory implications but looking at the Black community, one can guess it won’t be good for our society. But wait! The state is here to make your life so much better. They need you to work because they need the tax revenue. The Ponzi scheme called Social Security depends on filling the pipeline with worker bees so enter the state with the mandated “take a few months off with your companies’ money to have a baby”. When those first months are over, the state will subsidize the cost of putting your infant into a day-care facility run by unionized workers. Perhaps they’ll get absorbed into the American Federation of Teachers union because they only have the child’s well-being as their charge…when not on strike. How long before these infant care sites are state run? At the age of 3, the state will start indoctrination by enrolling them in another unionized “free” pre-school. Head Start being just another “success” story that needs to be…duplicated? replaced? Along the way they’ll continue to give tax breaks and incentives for having more children (remember the Ponzi scheme). Children used as a means of controlling you.

So, when your kid comes home from school one day and says, they’re calling the “Domestic Terrorism Crisis Line” because you suggested they read the Declaration of Independence, look back on your vote for Joe Biden in 2020. Him and the Marxists running him are the ones raising your kid.

I’m reminded of the proverb “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.” Seems republicans are getting giddy over the mid-term prospects for their capturing the House and Senate. They contend the more the left screws things up like defunding the police while ignoring crime spiking under their very noses, printing money and distributing it like candy, and putting our country in harm’s way with our adversaries, the more voters will flock to Republicans. Those who fall prey to this line of thinking are ignoring what is really happening.

The Democrat party is run by radical revolutionaries. Nothing is sacrosanct to them including the Constitution. They aren’t fearful of the next election because they will own it. The posturing around the filibuster, packing the court and the already ginned up legislation to assure one-party rule are their bulwarks against sanity in voting. Their plan is clear as day; pass HR1/S1. That legislation will open the spigots for all kinds of mischievous and never yield a “free and fair” election.

In order to get this unconstitutional law through both houses, they will need to first kill the filibuster. Failing that, they will grant state hood to DC, assign two new Democrat Senators and try again. Not enough? Add Puerto Rico, even if Puerto Ricans don’t want to be a state, and make another run. Maybe they’ll pass it by invoking some new Senate rules and have it go to the Supreme Court but first, they need a friendly court. One that uses the current headlines to determine the constitutionality of such a law. Hence the effort to add 4 new justices. Mind you, all of this is taking place as I type.

So, you smug Republicans, better think twice if you think you’re in a knife fight for 2022. You’re in a shooting war right now and you had better find a way to thwart all of the above or watch your own demise and that of our country.

Marxists have taken over the Democrat party and now they are taking over the country. Current office holders who list themselves as Democrats are starting to realize they are being co-opted by a cabal of academia, media and “progressives”. (I’ve left out the spineless companies for now as I think they are just looking at next quarter’s results.) No longer afraid of the label of Socialist, this growing power-hungry mob is rolling over anyone who might get in their way. Their control of communications assures that anyone who does try to thwart their agenda, will be summarily doxed and pilloried until marginalized if not outright banned. Some Democrats are starting to wake up to this but are finding resistance may already be too late.

They told you they would make DC and Puerto Rico states in order to get a majority in the Senate. They told you they would pack the Supreme court with more justices appointed by this President. They projected the kind of transparency this administration would have when Biden’s campaign had him hiding in his basement. They told you how serious they were about the “me too” movement when they tried to derail Kavanaugh but conveniently buried the Tara Reade and others who accused Biden of sexual harassment. They never wavered from their policy position that we have open borders. They pound home the lie that ours is a racist system made up of white supremacists that are out to overturn our very government…. after they get the police to kill every black person.

Well, here we are. HR1/S1 looms larger than ever. The law that will cement one-party rule probably wouldn’t pass muster in a Senate with a filibuster. A law that if passed, wouldn’t pass Constitutional review in the current Supreme Court. So, what to do? Kill the filibuster and pack the court thus assuring reaching the goal of perpetual control of the federal government. Even some Democrats are getting a little wary of where we’re headed but can they resist knowing their job and livelihoods are subject to the same cancelling to those on the right?

We little people, American citizens, the ones who are supposed to be in control of our government, are no longer needed to maintain their positions. The system is rigged with single party districts and election laws that dissuade new entrants. If that wasn’t enough, throw your hat in the ring and the media will turn your life inside out if you’re not with them. How’s that police recruiting going? Next up, Republican candidates.

Our country is being overturned in front of our eyes and we feel helpless to stop it. That frustration can only lead to very bad things. Should HR1/S1 get any kind of hold on our last real hope; a free and fair election process, I fear the worst.

Oh, by the way, don’t think Russia and China aren’t already planning some kind of use of force to challenge us. Ukraine and Taiwan are up first and of course, we still have Iran but hey, the most critical thing to worry about is climate change says Joe. He’s not kidding!

Minnesota caught on fire again. The “spontaneous combustion” came right after a traffic stop ended with a death. The “spark” ignited large groups of people who took out their “obvious racial frustration” on businesses and other property. Excuse me if I pull a Piers Morgan and suggest the looters and vandals were not so much upset over the incident as they were grateful for another chance to gather up possessions for free. The advent of another “incident” involving a black man and a white policewoman was all the was needed to open up the spigots of free stuff there for the taking.

But then, this was just a rehearsal for what is to come at the end of the Chauvin trial. So far, the media has played ad nauseum the arguments of the prosecution and the testimony of their witnesses. Will see how much coverage the defense and its witnesses get from them. I doubt it will be even as they continue to stoke the flames that literally burn Minnesota, Oregon, Washington, Chicago and DC. After all, stories of people getting along don’t sell advertising nor fit their political ties to this administration and its progressive left.

A cynic might even suggest that Black Lives Matter put Daunte up to the task of enticing police to pull him over hoping for another confrontation. Hard to think that some people would put others up for “martyrdom” but then, this is the world we live in isn’t’ it? If no crisis exists to take advantage of, then create one. After all, the end justifies the means…. especially when you are so well intended.

North Korea blames their economic woes on US sanctions and starts again to fire off missiles. Russians are amassing troops on the Ukraine border and threatening a reinvigorated border war. Iran continues provocations in the Hormuz straits and continues to fund Hezbollah and other terrorist groups. We’re being invaded on our southern border including people from at least 41 countries and so far, 4 were on the terrorist list, and China looms large everywhere. What is Joe doing about the safety and security of our country; the one defined role of the Federal government?

How long will he wait before removing the sanctions on North Korea because, “that’s not who we are as Americans”.  He is re-opening talks with Iran and the failed nuclear pact he and Obama “negotiated”. He does this despite the lying and duplicity of the Iranians in following the first agreement. The $400,000,000,000 in cash we gave them went to pay for arms and support used to kill Americans so why not try that again. He is loath to even mention Ukraine hoping it will just go away on its own. Will he support Ukraine’s request to join NATO? Don’t hold your breath for a “policy statement”. He’s going to be tough on China; that is as soon as corporate America tells him what “tough” means. You can bet it won’t include more tariffs or sanctions.

Our adversaries are probing the weaknesses of our defenses and taking advantage of an administration hell bent on turning to “domestic terrorism” as the most dangerous situation. How long before a shooting war begins and Joe is forced to go before his adoring half of the country and convince them, he didn’t want the war, but dam it, we’re in it now and we’re going to win. Try getting our patriotic woke to sign up for anything that involves putting themselves at risk and for what? A racist society based on a moribund economic system. Good luck with that Joe.

Following the footsteps of every President over the past century, except President Trump, he’ll send troops into harm’s way as the politically expedient means to “rally the country” and divert attention from his failings domestically. Only this time, the country won’t rally. Trump proved we can exert international influence without shooting. Rather, the Trump philosophy is to make us and our allies more prosperous. As other countries figured it out, they joined in; evidence the mid-east thaw that no President before him was able to accomplish. Of course, this progress is being tossed aside as Joe pivots to the Palestinians again and eschews Israel.

International conflict is coming and it won’t be pretty. The utter ignorance of the threats to our way of life from the outside are putting us in a dangerous position. When it happens, as I predict it will, there will be no united country and the Viet Nam era will raise its ugly head once more. Our adversaries know this and it gives them encouragement to antagonize and even initiate. They’ll start with hacking our systems but eventually they’ll shoot and it won’t be Joe and his D.C. folks that get shot. It will be our kids. Aren’t you glad, he’s the one with the briefcase?

 In her editorial today, former Chair of the Federal Reserve and current Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, opines in the WSJ (4/8/21 – “A Better Corporate Tax for America”).  She claims the 2017 tax law was a bust. Using selected statistics related to corporate taxes only, she claims the changes were a “mistake” and resulted in unsustainable prosperity. She ignores the plethora of other statistics that support the changes were a spectacular success. She deftly declines to mention how it reduced the income gap, raised in real terms the incomes of nearly every group she and her cohorts profess to be working hard for, and saw historical reductions in poverty. Some mistake!

To right this mistake, she proposes a policy based on naivete. She contends that through discussion, competing economies will acquiesce to a plan to coordinate corporate tax policy. Her proposal will prevent a “race to the bottom” of corporate taxing policy. Apparently, competition is something to be avoided. Instead, she proposes a sort of OPEC for tax policy. How’s that working for the OPEC countries?

With all the good will this administration is amassing, I’m sure Ireland will be the first to agree to go from a 12.5% tax rate for corporations to 28%. (Ireland actually has 2 rates depending on the source of income; 12.5% and 25%). If you can’t even get NATO to follow its own rules, how successful do you think we’ll be coordinating tax rates? Joe likes to bundle things so maybe we can throw tax rates in with the Iran nuclear talks or with China on the Uighurs. While some may see this as conflating disparate topics, this administration can make a case for their relation to one another. If they so choose, I suggest these discussions, like the prospect of coordinated tax rates, will go down in flames. To think otherwise is naive.

Carly Fiorina got me thinking when she said, big business loves big government. She opened my eyes to the fact that heavy regulation costs money and big businesses are able to absorb those costs while small businesses are crushed. Heavy regulation creates barriers to entry for small businesses and thus, inhibits competition for big businesses. The last couple of years has brought this truism home.

The Chamber of Commerce is now in the pocket of big government. They saw efforts to curb Chinese wrongs as an affront to their goals. Their position was then translated into political actions against a Republican President and his re-election campaign. Big businesses, including the tech giants, are getting as woke as possible including spreading falsehoods in line with the current administration. They jumped on the lie that efforts to secure free and fair elections, are actually efforts to suppress voters. Why? They know where their bread is buttered!

Despite all the talk about how small businesses are the bedrock of our economy, what did government do during this pandemic? They killed small businesses. Requirements for social distancing, closures, designation of “essential” businesses all served to elevate big business (Amazon?) and wreck mom and pop shops. Just look what New York did to its vibrant restaurant sector.

Big business loves big government. They have the money to lobby and control the regulations that thwart others while they prosper. Big government loves big business because they control the narrative through mass and social media. They contribute the big money to re-election campaigns. This symbiotic relationship is the true death of democracy as government now has a propaganda enterprise they can count on. What can we expect from this joining of two behemoths?

Corporate America will lobby Congress desperately to control the way they do their accounting. Under the guise of tax reform and “closing loopholes”, corporations and other big businesses will get Congress to carve out their special places.  When all is said and done, these businesses will pass on whatever additional costs they bear to consumers. Corporate taxes are merely a pass through to you and me.

You will see nothing done to curb the power of media. Slander and libel laws will remain squarely in favor of media so they can continue to propagandize for the administration. The section 320 conversation is already gone. Those in power see a boon for themselves having free rein to say anything they want, true or not, and get no pushback from the 4^th estate. Once election laws are bastardized to assure one-party rule, there will be no difference between the official administration talking points and what you read and hear from the media. Those that dare to offer alternative views will be eliminated. FOX news will be regulated, taxed, and sued into oblivion.

So, what can this little peon do? I will vote with my dollars, I’m willing to pay more to a small business and for stuff “Made in America”. While I love low prices, I now see how they have corrupted our society into thinking that is the most important reason for a purchase. It’s not. Keeping small businesses viable is more important than the additional 5-10% I might pay for goods and services. (If “competition” is between large companies, what do you think will happen to pricing?) I’ll continue to call on my “representatives” to remove the unnecessary barriers before small businesses like licensing, continuing education requirements, and fees to name a few. It’s not over but without standing up now, it could very well be soon.

Seems there is a concerted effort to get people to buy into things that are patently false. Himmler’s, “If you tell a lie once, it’s still a lie. But if you say it ten times, it becomes the truth”, is the strategy of those who would like to indoctrinate you into their way of thinking. I choose not to fall for these absurd falsehoods.

Genitalia at birth and not how you are feeling today, is the determinant of your sex. Call yourself anything you want but don’t expect me to say you’re a girl if you have a penis. Don’t think I will ever be comfortable with boys in girl’s locker rooms and bathrooms. I will continue to enjoy sports where boys compete against boys and girls against girls and where appropriate, like automobile racing, watch the two distinct sexes go head-to-head.

If systemic racism exists, it has been to elevate Blacks over the other races. The Voting Rights and Civil Rights Acts of the 60’s, are both racist laws that contradict the Constitution’s “all men are equal”. They were both feel good laws that were not necessary and only served to separate one race of people from others. This is the very definition of racism. The failings of “righting the wrong of slavery” are too numerous for this missive but the ramifications are now coming home to roost as every sub-group is now charging to get their carve out of specialness. When every group is special, we are not equal. Too many Blacks have found a way to success for there to be some kind of systemic racism…whatever it means.

Few if any government programs have been successful and I choose to resist any further government intervention in my life. In their quest for power over my day-to-day living, federal, state and even local governments have instituted restrictions that are counter to our Constitution. Most recently, under the guise of health concerns, they have usurped the very document that gives them their standing by restricting freedom of movement and association among others. I choose to question my government and expect answers.

No one wants dirty water or air. No one wants to degrade the environment if at all avoidable. Everyone wants to live in comfort. Where these things are in conflict, accommodations must be made. Relying on a couple of hundred years of records on the earth’s climate and creating models off them is good for debating but not for determining policy. Putting people out of work on the idea that we will all die if they continue, is absurd on its face. Man does contribute to the climate but how egotistical is it that one volcano eruption dwarfs centuries of man’s contribution? I’ll continue to be mindful of my impact on the environment but spare me the taxes and policies that will damage our economy while the rest of the world goes on its merry way.

We just had record turnout for a federal election yet there is a movement afoot to “end voter repression”. The cure (HR1/S1) is a blatant effort to assure one party control of the federal government. Once again, the effort denies the actual language and intent of the Constitution. This from a cabal that took an oath to faithfully execute that document. Saying requiring confirmation of voter eligibility is repressive, is the most ludicrous of the arguments proponents use to ram this law through. You need identification for tens of things that are part of every day life. The only reason proponents of this power grab want to waive any confirmation process for voters is to steal elections and thus, cement their hold on power. If democracy is at risk, it’s because of efforts like HR1/S1.
