Almost Everyone has Done It

You can look back on our county’s history and find that nearly every President has either initiated or participated in some kind of conflict that involves US troops. Many were done to avert the attention of the US voter from some domestic malaise. Why? Because it works.

Pulling on patriotic heartstrings, every politician with a soap box knows they can muster enough support to weather what might be their failings here at home. I won’t go back to the Founders but Carter had the Iranian hostage taking, Reagan killed it in Grenada and ended the cold war, Clinton had Bosnia, Bush Iraq, Obama had the war on terrorism which included everyone (including some here in the US), and resulted in the killing of Bin-Laden, and now, Biden has Russia.

Note: Trump is missing from the list. He was the first President out of this list that didn’t send US forces into harm’s way and in fact reduced the number of troops in armed conflict zones.

Make no mistake, Biden is itching for a real shooting war with Russia and not through a proxy like Ukraine. In re-opening the American embassy in Kviv, Secretary Blinken said. “We have put forward additional measures to increase the safety of our colleagues who are returning to Kviv and have enhanced our security measures and protocols.” At most embassies, there is a contingent of Marines that act as security. Biden has famously said on several occasions, US troops will not be put into Ukraine. One has to question just what “enhanced security measures” were taken. Perhaps it’s of the “over the horizon” type. That should be reassuring to the embassy staff.

As with Afghanistan, we have now created a target should anyone choose to poke the US and goad us into a direct conflict with Russia. We are supplying Ukraine with not only defensive armaments but now offensive ones as well. The opening of the embassy and added armaments are just add-ons to the calling out of Putin as a “war criminal”, charging him with genocide and claiming he is not fit to rule Russia. It’s not a leap to suggest, we’re at the brink of the great diversion.

Don’t think about the failing plight of his domestic administration. We must fight back the tyranny of ….this week it’s Russia. Biden knows it works; he has plenty of history to go by.

Here’s an Idea – No More Anonymity

I play a game on-line with people from all over the world. Each of us has the name we used on our credit card used to pay for the game prominently displayed for all to see. We can converse with each other and call each other by the name displayed. This doesn’t prevent negative communications (most likely for some perceived or real action) but it does allow anyone pursuing a reprimand from the administrators a specific person to address. No hiding behind some nom de plume.

The advent of anonymity has brought out the worst in some people. Without accountability, bullies and outright nasty people think they can spew whatever vitriol they please with no repercussion. Those that find this hiding advantageous are weak and cowardly and use their façade to feel powerful. Few have the guts to say out loud with attribution what they are saying from the basements of their homes.

What to do? I suggest…..

In order to have a Twitter account, you must sign on with a valid email and credit card. This will (may?) eliminate bots and other technological falsehoods. It will allow Twitter administrators to target those who do in fact do things that Twitter defines as “against their rules”. Twitter can do whatever it wants as a private concern. I have no problem with that. Cancel, remove, etc. just let everyone know what the rules are at the outset and then enforce them equally.

Same goes for Facebook and the other social media platforms.

After anonymity is removed from social media, next up is campaign contributions!!!

Just like pregnancy, you can’t have just a little censorship. Once you wipe clean or alter something, the censorship game has begun. So now we have a great debate caused by the hostile takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk. His stated purpose is to open up the world’s public forum to accept “free” speech. The current Twitter inhibits versus promotes democracy in his view, yet he doesn’t dispel the notion that under his tutelage, there too will be some form of censorship.

In his statements he talks openly of removing “scams” and “spam” without defining them. As is the case with pornography, I guess we’ll know it when we see it. Any censorship is just that, censorship. Opening up the algorithms and manual actions that elevate, suppress, or remove content would be a good move but the ultimate is to eliminate them altogether. I imagine the snowflakes whose jobs rely on culling the millions of tweets find this idea abhorrent. Everyone gets religion when their well-being is threatened. Hence the wailing and gnashing of teeth coming from the hordes of children that make up the employee base of Twitter. I suppose they could get jobs at Disney should they get laid off.

Is there an ideal public forum for the open discussion of anything and everything? Probably not but then, there are few, if any, ideal things in this world. Somebody’s ox always gets gored. So why attempt to get the “perfect” at the expense of the great? Let the f bombs fly and the conspiracy tales grow to include actual “scientific” discovery of Sasquatch or the farse of having sent a man to the moon. Who cares? Don’t read it if it bothers you. Read it and believe it or not is up to you and not some person or algorithm. We have a God given ability and inherent right to choose for ourselves. I for one prefer to use that ability and right and not delegate it to some amorphous entity.

The “rule of law” is an oft used phrase to support the contention that western civilization is superior to others. Greek philosophers called on inherent values to establish governance standards long before Twitter was around to subvert them. Indeed, our founding is based on the God given rights that were being suppressed by a government and now we see the same thing happening. When you can change the meaning of everything to suit your purpose, you can make the argument for anything. Take the latest red herring revolving around Ginni Thomas.

The political left and the Marxists among them don’t like the opinions Justice Thomas renders. He reads the text of the Constitution and clearly understands the words and what they mean and his opinions are based on those defined terms. This infuriates the left that would like the Constitution to be “interpreted” to better suit their ends. Of course, those ends are ever changing and therefore, the Constitution must also be ever changing. They believe it must be read in light of their current thinking to fit their plans. They love the term “living Constitution” as if it was not based on the inherent rights we were born with and ignore the amendment process the Founders put in place. To repeat, the Constitution codifies our rights to think and represent ourselves, to act in ways that we choose, and to defend ourselves, our family and our property against threats including those of a government that exceeds the power we accede to it.

The left, their Marxists and complicit media will howl at the notion that after 30 years of serving on the bench, Justice Thomas must now be silenced/removed. (You can bet some were hoping he never came out of the hospital.) This is just another attempt to change the court to fit its ultimate goal of total control over us. Every decision that goes against their plan is deemed another example of why the court is in need of change….to their liking.

When you attempt to redefine scientific terms like man and woman and say that it’s normal for K through 3^rd graders to be taught, they may not be a boy or a girl, it provides insight into what kind of world these professed “progressives” are looking to impose. I trust that the vast majority of us wish nothing more than to live under the ideals spelled out in defined terms in our Constitution. The time for calling a spade a spade is upon us.

If ever there was a cause for invoking the 25^th amendment that provides for the removal of the President for incapacity, now would be the time. Our soon to be octogenarian continues to make mistakes that have profound impacts both domestically and internationally. These are not gaffes but blunders of extreme danger.

The latest rounds cast Putin as the devil himself and paints him into a corner threatening the use of nuclear weapons as his only way out. He’s a war criminal, an animal and someone who cannot remain in power. How does that sound to a guy with his finger on a nuclear trigger? Add to the conundrum is the obvious blackmail/propaganda cards Putin holds over Biden as a result of Hunter’s laptop revelations.

While Ukraine dominates the news, we have this same Putin lead Russia negotiating with a terrorist country “on our behalf”. After delivering billions in greenbacks in the last round of this debacle with Iran that led to the inability to investigate their nuclear program and little slowdown in the effort to obtain nuclear weapons, here is the same crew going for it again. The crew that can’t keep their leader on a short enough leash from causing all kinds of cleanups. How long before they can’t be cleaned up?

With this as a backdrop, we have a lady in waiting that conjures an even worse scenario, if that is even possible. No, we won’t be invoking the 25^th for fear that the devil we want replaced will be with an even worse devil. Again, thanks to this President whose history making selections are definitely that. We’re stuck with this man whose cognitive abilities are on full deteriorating display. When he has to say that the other leaders have full faith in his abilities, you know we’re in trouble. Too bad number two is just that.

The clash of titans is coming. The battle between two divergent views of governance is impending and what form that confrontation will take is being developed as I write. The traditional clash will be a violent military one that ultimately will involve the use of nuclear weapons. The other, and hopefully more likely, is an economic one. The former lays the whole world shattered and in some large swaths of land, inhabitable. The latter if lost, subjugation of people through dictated ways of living.

President Biden was correct that we are in a battle for how humans choose to live their lives. The west supposedly promotes democracy defined as free thinking and personal responsibility while autocrats think that conformance with central planning, by force if necessary, is a better way. My bias is toward that which I know but it’s a time to question everything. After all, isn’t the best form of governance a benevolent King?

The last two democrat administrations have moved much closer to the autocratic approach. The allure of power over a people is an aphrodisiac for those who capture the votes and they are reluctant to go back to being real people. Once ensconced, they feather the bed making it difficult to unseat them. While chasing the autocratic model under the guise of, “we’re doing this for the children”, they ignore the peril in which they place themselves and us pawns.

Autocrats in China, Iran, Russia and North Korea see the groundwork being laid for them. They view current actions by “leaders” here and in other western countries as preparation of the people for command-and-control form of governance. Once the Rubicon of forcing a medicine on people was crossed, there were no other barriers that couldn’t be crossed. Coming in behind that will be easy once the stranglehold on the economy is perpetrated. How you might ask?

The first volley was Saudi Arabia considering taking the yuan for payment. If the “full faith and backing of the USA” for dollars is usurped, it will be kryptonite to our economy. The value of everything will diminish. Pensions, 401ks, hedge funds et al will have purchasing power slashed. Reordering the economy around new values of currency will take years. The commensurate “attack” will be on cyber. Think the cloud now becomes acid rain as it is corrupted and normal transactions like getting money out of your ATM are disrupted. Cash will be king though you may need the proverbial Weimar wheelbarrow.

The final straw will be a “white Knight” who will use the controlled media (versus the complicit one we have now) to appear as our savior. Of course, he (the choose your own pronoun will be banned and woman will not be considered) will turn out to just another dictator and the big one will have its victor.

Its an insidious slide and the people we have in leadership positions may very well be leading us down the path they so often claim as deplorable elsewhere.  The same people that brought us Russiagate, transitory inflation, Covid came from a wet market, Hunter’s laptop was disinformation, calling US citizens treasonous, etc.

After admonishing Europe for becoming too dependent upon a hostile foreign country, our esteemed administration pivots to putting us in the same situation. The very people who told Germany they shouldn’t rely on Russia for their energy are the same that ok’d a pipeline to supply Germany more oil from Russia. In concert with that, this same group of people cancelled a domestic pipeline that would carry over 800k barrels of oil a day from Canada, our friendly neighbor, to refineries in Texas; oil that now has to be carried by train and truck. That makes sense!

As if this wasn’t enough idiocy, we’re now asking countries lead by dictators and hostile to the United States and under a plethora of sanctions, to please sell us some of your oil. Hat in hand, we’re in Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and yes, even Iran asking for them to sell us oil. You could do an entire comedy routine on this.

All the while, the propaganda machine rolls on with lie after lie. Gas prices are due to the Ukrainian war. There are 9000 leases not being developed. The government is not in the way of energy producers. That nominee we put up for the Federal reserve was just kidding when she said she would cutoff funding to oil companies.

This administration is a car full of clowns who think the Marxists will run them out of power if they don’t “save the planet”/turn American into a socialist state. Power, and the control that comes from it, is what feeds this monster. Rather than do the right thing in the right moment, they look to the left and trudge on all at our expense and certainly not theirs. While the elites get driven around in vehicles we pay for, they exhort us to accept the “sacrifice” for the good of……them.

At some point we will need to adopt their ways. (Think, “rules for thee but not for me”.)  We the people are going to have to say, “You go your way, and we’ll go ours.”

The fix was in and they’re looking to do it again. As is the current rage, planting a false flag allows those with mal intent to go about their criminal ways. Democrats and the Marxists that run that party are all about “saving democracy” through stealing elections. Rather than have transparent, verifiable and controlled methods of voting, they insist on sending ballots to everyone on unmaintained voter rolls, advocating for flimsy requirements to determine if the voter actually completed the ballot, ballot collection by party apparatchiks who can then drop them in unobserved and unsecured locations. Nothing here to worry about.

The latest setup for the next steal is accusing anyone who doesn’t agree with them. of working from the inside to steal the election. The fear was some poll worker may not count ballots they don’t like or deem them unable to be verified and thus not counted. Now, it’s the official themselves that are in the crosshairs of the mob on the left. Look for election management candidates they don’t like to be doxed, harassed, and hounded by the left while their candidates will get all the rosy publicity, and perhaps, Soros money.

HR1 (“For the People Act” – only slightly more inaccurate than the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act”) and the its little sister, the “John Lewis Voting Rights Act”, (HR4) have flamed out because, as is wont with this administration, they tried to eat the whole elephant at once. This blatant attempt to federalize and make easier to steal elections was stopped in its tracks by even some Democrats. Despite their setback, the Marxist Democrats are looking to see how they can mitigate what is expected to be a crushing mid-term election. The easiest is to just bend the results and of course, once lost, call them into question. Mind you, that is not a threat to democracy. Only Republicans, Trump supporters and Tucker Carlson present that.

On day one, President Joe Biden quite possibly put our country on a path to Armageddon. On that day, he signed 17 executive orders ranging from killing women sports to upending the entire energy makeup of the world. We are now seeing the effects of capitulation to the Marxists who have been growing their influence over decades.

The European people can thank President Biden for creating the situation where they are now dependent upon a tyrant who thinks nothing of human rights. Instead of continuing down the path of energy independence and becoming an energy supplier alternative to Russia, our President did an about face. He signed orders killing a pipeline that was almost complete and would have provided crude to domestic refineries producing gasoline. He killed drilling on public lands and the Artic refuge area (ANWAR). Through intimidation, and in coordination with major media, he cut off funding to energy companies.

Rather than build on the success of shale oil extraction, this President encouraged states to deny permits and halt fracking. Instead, this President is begging OPEC to produce more oil. In lieu of further de-escalation in the middle east and the rapprochement between Arab countries and Israel, he goes back to a failed attempt to curtail production of nuclear weapons by Iran. You can’t make this stuff up!

So now we sit on a powder keg of gargantuan proportions. Russia saw its opportunity and took it. Next up is China and it’s move on Taiwan. The nod to the left has us in the most precarious position of my lifetime which includes the Cuban missile crisis. How long before we are seeing our blood shed all because of actions taken on day one.

Watching the Canadian trucker situation got me thinking, “Could the government confiscate my money?” I already know they can lock me up for minor infractions. In some cases, I can be held without bail for “presenting a threat to others and myself”. As nefarious as this is, taking away my ability to live by restricting my access to my own money is cutting to the bone. Yet, given the actions taken against those involved in the Capitol protests of January 6^th, and what happens in countries like China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela and now, Canada, it’s apparent that it could happen to me or anyone not in synch with the politics of the day.

These missives of mine might be interpreted as seditious by someone trying to put me away. Anyone on whom they put their target can be made to look like a terrorist given the state of a compliant media and the technical means of editing both word and video. Scary stuff and no longer that of “conspiracy theorists” as we have examples right here in the US and it is happening right next door.

While the summer of 2020 was “mostly peaceful”, the truckers are Nazis and white supremacists. The people who voted to recall the San Francisco school board members have been labeled as white supremacists. Contributors to the truckers were doxed and their businesses damaged. It’s not a big step to have the state here jump in on the “public outcry to do something” that gives them the opening to thwart any dissension by any means necessary. Hell, even Abraham Lincoln subverted the Constitution!

Complacency and apathy rule our current population with a large portion already dependent on the state, bringing us ever closer to completing the circle attributed to Alexander Tytler. Only each individual standing up to authoritarians will save the day.
